I put these sets thru the carder twice (sometimes 3 times) to ensure a gradual blend from one color to another, this makes doing landscapes so thrilling in the results. VERY worth the extra effort!

One of my favorite things about being a mom is making things with my kids and when it comes to Valentine's Day, we don't hold back! There's glue, glitter, scissors, paper doilies, rubber stamps, paper punches - it's a glittery, snipped up mess when it's all over. But you should see the results! The most creative and sparkly hearts around. We've been doing this every year since my youngest was in preschool and she'll graduate from high school soon!

Dreamy, Yummy, Heavenly Alpaca hand-carded with the softest Merino; your hands will know bliss!

This listing is for ONE 2oz. hand-carded batt. I have TWO identical batts available for sale should you desire enough fiber for a larger 4oz. project.

"Café con Leche" is a labor of love: I've hand-washed and hand-carded beautiful ginger & honey Alpaca fleece from Sterling Alpaca's "925 Suris" just west of me in Thousand Oaks, CA.
-After preparing the Alpaca, I've blended this fiber on my Clemes & Clemes drum-carder with velvety white and black merino wool to create this lovely Café con Leche gradient.

-This batt offers a 50/50% blend of Alpaca & Merino for a true luxury experience.

Great care has been taken to fully blend the gradients you see here; the colors are just beautiful flowing from a pearly cream into a delicious cinnamon, onto a tasty espresso with just a hint of ginger.
All segments contain a percentage of the ginger Alpaca (the lighter also includes honey-colored alpaca blended into white Merino; the middle has both honey & ginger alpaca w/ a concentration on the ginger; the darkest section has ginger & deep chocolate alpaca blended into black Merino.)
By including the alpaca in all three segments, a true progressive gradient is achieved as the sections share the same honey/ginger hues. This allows the segments to flow beautifully from one to the next & back again in the order & repetition of your choosing.

Your hands will be tickled and delighted ~ the fiber is so very very lovely, light, SUPER-SOFT (22-24 micron count Alpaca) and almost cool to the touch.
