Introducing Mixies! Miniature tops and batts to mix-and-match for endless inspiration!

* Spin the colors separately as singles and blend for a 2, 3 or 4-ply finished yarn.
* Strip the top/batt and hold various colors together as you draft for blending at the wheel (blend two Mixies for one singles and another two Mixies for the other singles, ply, and you'll have a complex, interesting yarn for larger projects!)

View full descriptionThis wool is skirting from my coated fleeces. It is lovely wool from the neck area. Because it wasn't under the coat there will be some VM. I've sorted off the worst bits but you may still find a few locks that have alfalfa and seeds. The wool is washed, but not carded. It is of a medium micron grade. It will all be 3 inches or longer. The washing disturbs the lock formation, but this wool all has a nice crimp and bounce to it. Ten Ounces.

An absolutely new blend for the shop, Merino wool blended with Siberian Husky and sparkly Firestar! The fur is from my friend's two dogs (not puppies at all although they act like they are) who are themselves rescued dogs. These batts are a mixture of 94% colored Merino, 5% Siberian Husky dog, and 1% Firestar. It's yummy soft and the yarn will have a bit of a halo due to the fur and a bit of sparkle from the Firestar. The halo should grow as the yarn/garment is handled. This fiber can be used for felting.

The last photo is a shot of the "fiber sources" enjoying a day in the sunshine.

Although I live with a kitty, he is not permitted in my studio or near my fibers.

10% of the proceeds from the sale of Pupsicle fiber and yarns will be donated to Save Our Siberians - Siberspace Rescue Fund (sos-srf.org).

View full descriptionThis batt was made from green and silver romney lamb fleece that I processed from raw, green silk that I dyed, and silver sparkle. This batt weighs approximately 2.5oz, smooth and super bouncy!

The colors are a heathered sprig green with flecks of darker green and a generous amount of silver sparkle. This is absolutely next-to-skin quality soft fiber. It would make a lovely cowl or any other item that is worn next to sensitive areas.

Because this batt was made from fleeces as well as commercially prepped fiber, there is a chance that you may encounter a small amount of barnyard vegetation. I have done my best to pick out all foreign matter, but I am only human, and sheep do live outside :)

I have done my best to represent the colors and textures accurately, but please remember that computers and monitors do vary. If you would like to see more photos, or have questions, don't hesitate to contact me. Photos were taken in natural light.

I am happy to ship outside the US and Canada, but please convo me if you would like these shipped elsewhere so that I can get a shipping quote for you.
